Yingkou Huayin Opens Shipyard, Starts 10-Vessel Multipurpose Programme

The newly established shipbuilder in northeastern China plans to build ten 8,700-dwt multipurpose vessels at its Yingkou yard.

Yingkou Huayin Shipbuilding has opened its yard in Liaoning province, northeastern China, and held a ceremony marking the start of an 8,700-dwt multipurpose vessel construction programme.

According to project information, the programme comprises 10 vessels to be built in series at the Yingkou facility.

Production preparations in place

The yard has assembled its technical team and construction workforce and put production arrangements in place for the series.

Preparations cover production design, construction planning, block fabrication, hull assembly, outfitting and commissioning. The vessels have been included in the yard’s production schedule for sequential construction.

The project material identifies the series as “KR8700 DWT”. It does not provide the shipowner’s identity, contract value or delivery dates.

Part of Zhejiang Huayin’s shipbuilding operations

Yingkou Huayin was incorporated on April 22, 2026, with its registered address in Gaizhou, part of Yingkou municipality. According to the corporate information accompanying the project material, it is wholly owned by Zhejiang Huayin Shipbuilding Heavy Industry, with Wang Yue serving as its legal representative.

Zhejiang Huayin was established in May 2019 and is registered in Xiangshan, Ningbo, in eastern China’s Zhejiang province.

The ownership information provided with the project also lists Lianyungang Huayin in Jiangsu province as a wholly owned subsidiary of Zhejiang Huayin. Separately, public corporate data lists Zhejiang Huayin as the largest shareholder in Shandong Zhongkun, with a 40% stake.

The opening of the Yingkou yard adds a northeastern construction location to these operations, with the 10-vessel multipurpose programme providing its initial announced workload.
