Recently, the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced the third batch of green design demonstration enterprises for industrial products, with Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. (NACKS) being included into the list. This is the first and only shipbuilding enterprise in China to receive this honor.
It is learnt that enterprises participating in the evaluation should be in a good state of business, with a leading market share for its major products and a sound management system of quality, environment, energy and occupational health and safety.
Advancing with the changing national and international situations, NACKS has long been upholding the design philosophy of "green, energy conservation, safety and efficiency". It has turned energy saving and carbon reduction an opportunity for transformation, while continuously improving the R&D capability for green and environmentally friendly intelligent ships and green shipbuilding technology, embedding the concept of green low-carbon design into the whole process of product design, manufacturing and supply chain management. Through all these efforts, the company has established a positive brand image for its green products.
