BIMCO President Designate Visits COSCO SHIPPING xinde marine news 2021-03-30 11:07


On March 25, a delegation headed by President Designate of the Baltic International Maritime Conference (BIMCO) Ms.Sabrina Chao visited COSCO SHIPPING. Chairman of COSCO SHIPPING Capt. Xu Lirong and Executive Vice President of COSCO SHIPPING Mr. Huang Xiaowen met with the guests. The two sides exchanged opinions on further enhancing their cooperation to promote the healthy and sustainable development of the shipping industry.
 
Capt. Xu extended a warm welcome to the delegation, and congratulated Ms. Chao on taking office soon as President of BIMCO. As the world’s largest shipping company, COSCO SHIPPING also serves as the Director of the Board of BIMCO. It will continuously support the organization in a joint effort to promote the healthy and sustainable development of the industry. Also, Mr. Huang Xiaowen had an in-depth discussion with Ms. Chao on topics such as anti-piracy operation, GHG emission reduction, and crew shift during the pandemic. 

Relevant heads of BIMCO Asia and executives of the Operating Management Division and Public Relations Division of COSCO SHIPPING also attended the meeting.
