China is confident it can maintain its growth momentum in foreign trade amid the ongoing China-US trade disputes, Commerce Ministry spokesman Gao Feng said at a regular press conference on Thursday.
When asked about how US tariffs of 50 billion US dollars' worth of Chinese products will affect Chinese enterprises, Gao reiterated that there can be no winners in a trade war, and said cooperation benefits both countries but confrontation can only hurt.
Against the backdrop of trade friction, Chinese enterprises are carrying out transformation and upgrades so as to turn the challenge into an opportunity, Gao said.
