Qingdao Shipyard won orders for 4 82,000 DWT bulk carriers Xinde Marine News Sarah Yu 2023-05-19 16:46

Qingdao Shipyard signed a shipbuilding order for four 82,000 DWT bulk carriers with internationally renowned shipowner Seatankers, and there are four ships waiting to be signed.

This is another international shipbuilding order after 206,000 dwt bulk carriers and 5,900 TEU container ships built by Qingdao Shipyard.
 
The ship has a total length of 229 meters, a width of 32.26 meters, a depth of 20.35 meters, a designed draft of 12.2 meters, a deadweight of 82,000 dwt, and a designed speed of 14.0 knots. It is characterized by "green, environmental protection, energy saving and safety".

This ship was developed and designed by SDARI. It is the latest generation ship type that meets the requirements of EEDI Phase Ⅲ.
