On the afternoon of August 3, CNOOC Energy Technology & Services Limited and Marine Design & Research Institute of China officially signed the detailed design contract of LF12-3 FPSO hull.
LF12-3 FPSO is the 15th FPSO designed by MARIC for CNOOC after HAI YANG SHI YOU 119 and HAI YANG SHI YOU 121 delivered and put into operation last year.
The ship is a newly built 100,000 DWT FPSO with production, oil storage and export functions. It adopts an inner turret single point mooring system with an operating water depth of 240m. It is classified into ABS and CCS and is planned to be put into operation in July 2023.
