MOL, CNOOC, COSCO and CSSC discuss iCER technology Xinde Marine News Vivian Xu 2023-01-09 17:10


On January 5, 2023, Deputy General Manager of MOL (China), Hudong-Zhonghua CNOOC project Deputy General Manager, Li Huasong of COSCO Shipping, Felix Ovezea, Executive Technical Supervisor of MOL, leader of engine of MOL visited CSSC Power (Group) (CGPC). The two sides had key exchanges on iCER and other content.
 
Since 2019, the CSSC Power (Group) together with CSSC-MES Diesel and WinGD, has started iCER's technical research and product development.
 
iCER (Intelligent Control by Exhaust Gas Recycling) is the exhaust gas of part of the main engine re-enters the combustion chamber after being washed and cooled to participate in combustion, so as to control the oxygen concentration in the scavenging gas and improve the combustion stability. The purpose of increasing the compression ratio. This significantly reduces engine fuel/gas consumption and can meet Tier III emissions requirements in both fuel and gas modes.
