On November 29, Shell Penguins FPSO, the first cylindrical FPSO contracted by CNOOC Offshore Oil Engineering, was completed and delivered in Qingdao, which is the largest and most intelligent cylindrical FPSO in China.
Penguins FPSO consists of a hull and a topside module, with an overall height of 118m, a total weight of about 32,000 dwt, and a total operating weight of 88,000 dwt. It is the heaviest cylindrical FPSO built in China.
Penguins FPSO is customized by CNOOC Offshore for Shell and will be deployed in the UK North Sea.
