On April 15, the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) issued an Approval-in-Principle (AIP) certificate to COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry Technology (Weihai), a subsidiary of COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry, for its marine LNG fuel gas supply system (FGSS).

FGSS is independently developed by COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry Technology (Weihai). The acquisition of the certificate signals that FGSS completely complies with the IMO IGF Code and also meets the ABS requirements in terms of system design, process flow, as well as system safety and reliability, as the first significant step taken in the new energy sector.
