Last call for exhibitors at Nor-Shipping 2022 as excitement grows Xinde Marine News 2022-03-15 16:24

Nor-Shipping 2022 has confirmed that it will close sales for exhibition stands on 18 March, with just a handful of spots left within its 22,000 sq. m facilities in Lillestrøm.

Your Arena for Ocean Solutions, taking place 4-7 April, is set to be the first large-scale international industry event of its kind since the inception of the pandemic in March 2020. Tens of thousands of decision makers from around the world are expected to flock to Lillestrøm and Oslo, with exhibitors drawn from well over 30 separate nations. National pavilions have been confirmed for key markets including Turkey, Denmark, Germany, Spain, USA, UK, Finland, Japan, The Netherlands and, of course, Norway.

People power

Sidsel Norvik, Director, Nor-Shipping says companies are “over the moon” about the prospect of face-to-face meetings with key industry contacts.

“They, like we, have been waiting for what seems like an eternity to gather, network, share knowledge, showcase solutions and build profitable partnerships,” she notes. “The industry has coped remarkably well during the pandemic, but there is a clear need – a hunger – to get ‘back to business’ and meet the people that matter. Nor-Shipping 2022 provides the perfect platform.”

Norvik continues: “The exhibition is really the beating heart of the event week. This is what draws the global community together, giving them a chance to experience the very latest developments and interact with one another. You never know who you'll bump into while viewing the stands, what opportunities might open up, and that's a huge pull for both exhibitors and delegates alike. I think this exhibition promises to be our most important yet.”

Selling out fast

In a sign of the growing industry excitement for Nor-Shipping, both the official Opening Party and Closing Party have now sold out, with just a very limited number of tickets remaining for the Ocean Leadership Conference on 4 April.

This latter event will gather an audience of 950 C-level executives to hear speakers and panellists including former NATO chief Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Kjerstin Braathen, CEO DNB, Kitack Lim, Secretary General IMO, and many more. The capacity for the conference was raised from an initial limit of 600 due to the strength of demand.

Alongside the exhibition, main conference and parties, other key events include Technical Seminars, The International Ship Autonomy and Sustainability Summit, the Blue Talks, the Young@Nor-Shipping programme, The Blue Economy Start-up Day, The Quality Flag Forum, Brazil@Nor-Shipping, The Maritime Hydrogen Conference, Maritime Battery Pitch and more.
