DSIC's another green ship design awarded AiP by two classification societies Xinde Marine News Sarah Yu 2022-02-18 16:07

On February 17, the green methanol fuel-powered VLCC ship design, jointly developed by CSSC Dalian Shipbuilding Industry and COSCO SHIPPING Energy Transportation, won the AiP certificate issued by DNV and CCS respectively.
This project is another prospective joint research and development project after the successful development, design and construction of the world's first LNG dual-fuel VLCC for COSCO SHIPPING Energy Transportation, and the two sides actively implement the shipping goal of "carbon peak and carbon neutrality", which contributes to the "zero carbon" future of the shipping industry.
Relying on strong technical reserves and continuous innovation, DSIC will make greater contributions to the realization of the "dual carbon" shipping target and the "zero carbon" ship commercialization.
