On October 19, the 15000TEU ultra-large container ship "CMA CGM HERMES" built by Hudong Zhonghua for CMA CGM was christened and delivered in Shanghai.
This type of ship was developed and designed by MARIC. It meets Tier III emission standards of IMO and EEDI Phase III. It is a new generation of green, energy-saving and environmentally friendly container ship.
"CMA CGM HERMES" has a total length of 366 meters and a width of 51 meters. The carrying capacity is 15536 TEUs. It can carry 1,800 reefer containers independently.
As the global container shipping market is still hot, the successful construction of "CMA CGM HERMES" will help CMA CGM to improve its strategic layout and further enhance its global competitiveness.
