1.South Korea ranked second to China in terms of shipbuilding orders for the second straight month, industry data showed Wednesday.

2.Chinese company Submarinergy has announced that it is ready to deliver the first batch of 5000 ton crude floating storage units(CFSU) this month.

3.Ahrenkiel Vogemann Bolten (AVB),has placed an order at China's Yangzijiang Shipbuilding for the construction of six 40000 dwt open hatch bulk carriers.

4.Dalian iron ore futures ended higher on Wednesday, supported by ramping up of production by steelmakers amid robust construction activity and hopes for further demand as China eased coronavirus restrictions.

5.Social inventories of steel products in China continued to fall in late April, after reaching a peak in early March.
 
6.China’s independent refineries will receive the country’s first US crude oil cargo since December 2019 in mid-May.
 
7.In 2019,CMES achieved a total operating income of RMB 14.556 billion, with a year-on-year increase of 33.17%. 

8.China’s exports and imports are expected to record double-digit declines in April after a tentative recovery in March.
