BSIC signed a contract for the construction of 2+2 210,000DWT bulk carriers xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2021-07-26 15:38

On July 23, China Shipbuilding Trading, successfully undertook a new project to build 2+2 210,000DWT bulk carriers for a well-known European shipowner, jointly with Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry.
 
The contracted ship type adopts the design of a new generation of 210000DWT bulk carrier, with a total length of 300m, a width of 50m, a depth of 25.2m, a design draft of 16.1m, a structural draft of 18.55, a speed of 14.55 knots and a endurance of 27000 nautical miles, meeting the requirements of Tier III emission standard of IMO.
 
This contract is the first time for the shipowner to place an order for shipbuilding in BSIC, and it is the second time for the shipowner to cooperate with the shipbuilding enterprises of CSSC in 12 years.
 
The successful signing of the project will add new strength to the deepening cooperation between CSSC and the shipowner, and will further enhance and consolidate CSSC's market share and leading position in the Newcastlemax bulk carrier sector.
