On January 20, Nantong Xiangyu signed 1+1 shipbuilding contracts with Ningbo Juhe, Chizhou Jiuhua, and Guangxi Jinhang, respectively.

The 79900DWT bulk carrier jointly developed by Nantong Xiangyu and Shanghai Bestway Marine Engineering Design, which meets the requirements of the latest specifications and rules of China Classification Society and Maritime Safety Administration, and also reduces the fuel consumption of this type of ship as much as possible.

This type ship is about 209.9 meters long, 36 meters wide, 19.3 meters deep, design draft of 13.6 meters, and classified into CCS. The main engine uses MAN 6S50ME-C9.7 model, with a crew manning of 23 people and 5 large cargo tanks.
