According to the data, the value of orders from Taiwan's shipowners has exceeded US $7 billion, including 119 owned and long-term chartered vessels under construction, a record high.

Among the shipping companies, Evergreen ranks the first in terms of its own orders and long-term chartered ships, with a total of 46 ships, and the total order price is about US $6.096 billion. Evergreen also has 20 15000TEU container ships under negotiation.

The second-ranked Wanhai Lines has ordered 24 ships with a total price of about $829 million.

YangMing Marine ranks third with 10 ships on order, with a total price of about $843 million and four ships in talks.

T.S. Lines ranks fourth with six ships on order, with a total price of about $150 million.

Among the bulk shipping companies, Wisdom Marine Group holds the largest number of orders. There are currently 16 new ships under construction, with a total ship price of approximately US$438 million.

U-Ming Marine has 8 new ships under construction in its holding orders, with a total ship price of approximately US$261 million.

Taiwan Navigation has an order for 5 ships, with a total ship price of about 115 million yuan.

Another factor that prompts shipping companies to speed up ship orders is increasingly stringent environmental regulations.
