India's state-owned oil giant is said to have stopped chartering Chinese tankers to transport crude oil and petroleum products as relations between the two countries continue to deteriorate.
Chinese-flagged ships have been banned from taking part in tanker chartering for India's crude oil imports or refined oil exports.
The state-owned oil giant also plans to require oil traders and suppliers not to use Chinese tankers to supply India.
India's three largest state-owned energy companies, Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited did not comment on the Bloomberg report.
India is currently bordered by six countries: China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Myanmar.
