1.Eight Chinese seafarers on fishing vessels may have been hijacked by pirates in Cotonou and Lome.

2.Chaozhou Yatai Shipping has listed its 2012-built 76,000 dwt panamax bulker Ya Tai 3 for auction sale on Guangzhou Shipping Exchange.

3.Cosco Shipping Development has announced that its subsidiary Cosco Shipping Leasing plans to apply for a RMB400m ($56m) credit facility from Bank of Beijing.

4.Chinese shipyards are staging a sharp recovery and many are operating close to normal.
