Bank of Communications Financial Leasing plans to expand its fleet, ordering eight new VLOCs and one very large container ship.

A source familiar with BoComm Leasing said that the company ordered four 325,000 dwt ships in Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Industry and Yangzijiang Shipbuilding.

Recently, BSIC started to build an ore carrier, but it is not the new ship in the above order.

BoComm Leasing 's VLOC, which was built at BSIC and Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, is linked to Kmarin, a South Korean shipbuilding investment company. BoComm Leasing chartered the ship to Kmarin for a long time through bareboat chartering contract.
