Yangzijiang Shipbuilding: Secures 22 New Orders, Strong Growth in 2025

Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Holdings has made impressive strides in August 2025, securing 22 new shipbuilding contracts with a total value of $920 million (approximately RMB 6.56 billion). This announcement follows the release of the Group's half-year results in August 2025, bringing the total orderbook for the year to 36 vessels, valued at $1.46 billion. This represents 24.3% of their annual target of $6 billion.

Breakdown of the 22 New Orders:
Container Ships (18 units):
4 x 1,100 TEU
4 x 1,800 TEU
6 x 2,900 TEU
2 x 3,000 TEU
2 x 4,300 TEU
Gas Carriers (2 units):
2 x 40,000 CBM LPG carriers
Bulk Carriers (2 units):
2 x 83,000 DWT bulk carriers

Among these, two 4,300 TEU container vessels have been contracted by the Greek shipowner Euroseas. These ships, expected to be delivered in 2028, will be built at Yangzijiang's facilities and reflect the company’s growing presence in the global container ship market.
In terms of financial performance, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has maintained strong results with a net profit of RMB 4.2 billion in the first half of 2025, a 37% year-on-year increase, and a record-breaking shipbuilding gross margin of 35%.

With the ongoing development of the Yangzijiang Hongyuan shipbuilding project, the company is well-positioned to continue its expansion in the green shipping segment. This facility, set to be completed by the end of 2026, will have a production capacity of 800,000 tons per year and focus on building environmentally friendly ships.
