On July 21, 2025, Jiangsu New Times Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., one of China’s most productive and advanced private shipyards, marked a historic moment with the successful delivery of its 500th ocean-going vessel — the PATHWAY, a 155,500 DWT LNG dual-fuel Suezmax tanker built for Eastern Pacific Shipping Pte. Ltd. (EPS).
This delivery is significant on multiple fronts:
It is the first vessel in EPS’s new Suezmax series.
It is New Times’ first LNG dual-fuel Suezmax, highlighting the yard’s progress in building next-generation, environmentally friendly tankers.
It is the 25th vessel New Times has delivered to EPS, demonstrating a long-standing and trusted partnership.
Spanning from its first 10,000+ DWT vessel Hong Chun in 1998 to PATHWAY in 2025, New Times has delivered over 55 million DWT in total, achieving an extraordinary average pace of one 110,000-DWT ship every 20 days.
With cutting-edge shipbuilding capabilities, strong R&D, and a focus on green transition, New Times continues to cement its position as a major force in global shipbuilding — and a shining example of China’s growing shipbuilding excellence.
