DSIC delivers a 300,000-ton VLCC

On May 8, the 308,000-ton very large crude carrier built by Dalian Shipbuilding Industry for China Shipbuilding Trading was successfully named and delivered.

The representatives of DSIC, China Shipbuilding Trading and the leasing company affiliated to China Shipbuilding Trading signed the protocol for delivery of ships.

"CSSC Liaoning" is a new generation of highly competitive brand ship type independently developed by DSIC. With a length of 332.95m, a width of 60m and a maximum carrying capacity of 308000 tons, the ship belongs to the type of unlimited navigation area, with a range of more than 25000 nautical miles. At a design draft of 20.5M, it can normally carry 2 million barrels of crude oil through the Malacca Strait.

Since the construction of the ship, DSIC has closely focused on the schedule of lines and carefully arranged production. Major nodes such as hull half forming, bow and stern half closing, lighting and docking have been completed in advance.

Affected by the epidemic situation, the equipment service provider was unable to go to Dalian on schedule. The dedicated ship commissioning team contacted the service provider remotely to complete the inspection of the electric panel and steering gear. Its professionalism was praised by the shipowner.

During the sea trial, the ship completed the inspection work such as cabin strength, navigation lights, main engine durability, main engine speed measurement, unmanned cabin, etc.
