Gautam Ramaswamy, the Hong Kong Shipowners Association’s director (Regulatory Affairs) was an award recipient at the prestigious Indywood Marine/Offshore/Oil & Gas Excellence Awards 2018.
Mr Ramaswamy was one of two Hong Kong-based finalists to receive the Indywood Excellence Award (Professional Achievement). Also awarded was Jiji Kuriakose, head of Technical at ship management company, Misuga Kaiun HK Ltd.
Mr Ramaswamy, who attended the high profile event with his parents, said: “This is one of the few moments when I find myself lost for words. I am completely overwhelmed.”
He added: “I feel a sense of responsibility to ensure that I always live up to the honour bestowed on me.”
Held at the Hitex Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, India on 2 December, the Indywood Awards have been organized to recognise and facilitate efforts made by maritime/offshore/oil & gas organisations and personalities towards the development of their respective sector.
Indywood Maritime Excellence Awards 2018 was organized as a part of Project Indywood, a US$10bn project to be initiated by a consortium of 2000 Indian corporate and multi-millionaires.
