Spot rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday dropped 0.5 per cent to US$727 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade remained at $751 per TEU. Asia to the US west coast rose 3.4 per cent to $2,587 per FEU while those to the east coast were flat at $3,304 per FEU.
