Cosco Shipping Specialized Carriers, the specialised vessel unit of China Cosco Shipping, has signed a strategic agreement with Japanese engineering major JGC Corporation to deepen collaborations in heavy lift shipping.

Under the agreement, Cosco will be a transport partner of JGC to the support the latter's EPC projects globally. Additionally, Cosco signed a COA contract with JGC to transport heavy equipment for the company's EPC project at Hassi R'Mel gas field offshore Algeria. The contract will commence at the end of 2017 and last for one year.
