CMA CGM Strengthens Its Presence in Indonesia with the Launch of the Batam Singapore Xpress (BSX) Service CMA CGM 2025-08-29 16:48


The CMA CGM Group, a global player in sea, land, air and logistics solutions, is pleased to announce the opening of its new branch office in Batam, Indonesia, and the launch of its dedicated Batam Singapore Xpress (BSX) service. This strategic expansion is part of the Group’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its presence and enhancing its service offerings in Indonesia.
 
The new office will provide local support and expertise to customers, facilitating seamless trade operations for businesses in the Riau Islands. The BSX service is designed to meet the growing demands for efficient and reliable shipping solutions between Batam and Singapore, a key route for manufacturers of electronics, solar panels and general cargo.
 
With two departures per week, BSX service offers a direct connection between Batam and the international transshipment hub of Singapore, providing a fast and reliable solution for shippers in the region. Michel Azrak, President Director of CMA CGM Indonesia said, “This expansion is an exciting milestone as it brings us closer to our customers in Batam and underscores our commitment to supporting the growth of the local economy.
