XINGTONG Shipping Bags Four New Methanol Dual-Fuel Chemical Tankers Xinde Marine News Pang Kai 2025-01-13 09:38


On January 8, XT Shipping ordered 2+2 25,900 DWT methanol dual-fuel stainless steel chemical tankers from Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. Each vessel costs RMB 315 million, with a total potential value of RMB 1.26 billion.

The first two vessels will be delivered by March 31, 2027, and June 30, 2027, while the options will be confirmed within three months of contract activation. XT Shipping will provide RMB 630 million in guarantees for this order.

According to XT Shipping, adding two new methanol dual-fuel chemical tankers is part of the company’s strategy to further optimize its fleet structure,support better customer service. The transaction aligns with XT Shipping’s "1+2+1" strategic development plan and is expected to enhance the company’s ability to provide long-term, sustainable returns to investors.

Including this contract, XT Shipping has six such vessels under construction at Wuchang Shipbuilding. Previous orders were placed in May and August 2023, with unit prices increasing from RMB 299.6 million to RMB 315 million.

The series’ lead vessel, XT Haishi (AA032M), began construction in April 2024.
