COSCO Shipping Announces Major Partnership for 10 New Bulk Carriers! Xinde Marine News Pang Kai 2024-12-20 09:40


On December 19, COSCO Shipping proudly partnered with Everbright Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Hantong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. in Nantong to sign agreements for the construction and long-term leasing of 10 new 82,000-ton bulk carriers. This significant event was attended by our Chairman Chen Wei, Everbright’s Chairman Qu Liang, and Hantong’s Chairman Meng Chengjun, among other key leaders.

During the ceremony, COSCO’s Vice General Manager Shi Fuan and Everbright’s President Wei Chao officially signed the long-term leasing contracts, marking the start of a strong and strategic collaboration. This partnership leverages COSCO’s expertise in shipping operations, Everbright’s financial strength, and Hantong’s shipbuilding excellence.

This collaboration is a strategic move to integrate industry and finance, promoting the high-quality development of the shipping sector and supporting China’s vision of becoming a maritime and shipping powerhouse. By combining our strengths, we aim to enhance operational efficiency and drive sustainable growth in the maritime industry.
