On December 28, 2024, the inauguration ceremony of COSCO SHIPPING Group's Northeast Regional Headquarters took place in Dalian, marking a pivotal step in the group's strategic layout in the Northeast region. This milestone not only injects new momentum into regional economic development but also strengthens national economic growth and revitalization efforts in Northeast China. 

Liu Peng, Deputy Director of the China Water Transport Bureau of the Ministry of Transport, highlighted that the establishment of the Northeast Regional Headquarters represents a new benchmark for central-local cooperation. It is set to accelerate industrial upgrading and the expansion of logistics networks in the region.

Zhu Bixin, Director and General Manager of COSCO SHIPPING Group, underscored the strategic importance of the new headquarters, which aligns with the directives of President Xi Jinping and the national strategy for revitalizing Northeast China. The group aims to deepen its integrated “shipping + port + logistics” service model and bolster high-level regional development and connectivity.

Driving a New Era of Shipping and Global Integration

The newly established Northeast Regional Headquarters will uphold COSCO SHIPPING's mission of “Serving Global Trade, Connecting the World.” Leveraging the region’s strategic location and abundant resources, the headquarters will deliver high-quality services for the Belt and Road Initiative and contribute to the development of a maritime and shipping powerhouse.

By fostering collaboration with local enterprises, the headquarters aims to promote industrial synergy, expand regional logistics networks, and elevate Northeast China’s influence in global shipping and logistics.

This inauguration marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for COSCO SHIPPING, as we work hand in hand with Northeast China to create a brighter, more connected future for the global supply chain and regional economic prosperity.
