Chinese Emphasis on Cleaner Air Driving More LNG Demand xinde marine news 2018-07-13 15:35

There has been a structural increase in LNG import demand into China. There was a gradual increase in demand from the start of 2016 through the middle of 2017. From 2017 through to the present the contribution of global ton mile demand coming from Chinese imports has outweighed that created by South Korea. Imports are lower than they were during the peak winter months of 2017/2018, but should surge even higher after the end of the summer season.
