A Singapore-bound ship "Pacific Innovation" loaded with 12 marine and industrial equipment recently set off from Qingdao Port of Shandong Port Group (SPG).

The trip marked the opening of a new service linking Qingdao to Singapore, a Belt and Road (BRI) partner country. It was also Qingdao Port's first BRI service for 2024.

The opening of the service has further improved SPG's seaborne connectivity, strengthened its leading position as a seaborne gateway and an intersection of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. All these efforts will help SPG facilitate trade exchanges between China and Southeast Asia and contribute to the building of a new development paradigm focused on "double circulation".

The newly added service has created an efficient logistics corridor for export enterprises to expand their presence in Southeast Asia. It has also helped reduce logistics cost while enhancing transportation efficiency.
