Nearly 300,000 tons of bauxite unloaded at Yantai port xinde marine news 2020-03-19 10:51


A cargo ship from Guinea unloaded 262,000 tons of bauxite at Yantai port, eastern Shandong province on March 16.
 
During the epidemic, Yantai port opened a green channel for materials which improved the efficiency of ship departure, cargo unloading, and document processing.
 
Since the beginning of the Chinese Lunar New Year, Yantai port has received 21 cargo ships from Guinea carrying a total of 28.7 million tons of bauxite.
 
Guinea has been among the richest bauxite resources of any country in the world. Yantai port recently built a wharf in the Guinea and the two parties established a complete bauxite logistics chain.
 
Yantai port has become the largest bauxite unloading port in China. In 2019, the bauxite throughput of Yantai port reached 114.16 million tons.
