Hudong-Zhonghua names another 174,000 m3 LNG ship "WEN CHENG" Xinde Marine News Sarah Yu 2023-10-11 14:56

On October 10, the 174,000 m3 large LNG carrier "WEN CHENG" designed and built by Hudong-Zhonghua was christened and will be signed and delivered on October 11 three and a half months ahead of the contract period.

“WEN CHENG" is the fourth LNG ship delivered by Hudong-Zhonghua this year, and it plans to deliver two more before the end of the year, which is expected to create a new record of six ships delivered throughout the year. Currently, there are 12 LNG ships under construction at the same time.
 
The ship has a total length of 295 meters, a molded width of 45 meters, a molded depth of 26.25 meters, and a speed of 19.5 knots. It is classified into LR and CCS.
 
The ship also fully meets the requirements of third stage standards of EEDI Phase III and the latest environmental protection requirements of IMO.
