It marks that China's first marine green methanol industry chain project covering all aspects of production, transportation, bunkering, certification, etc. has entered the substantial construction stage, opening a new chapter for the new energy application and green transformation of the shipping industry.

The use of green methanol fuel is an important way for the shipping industry to achieve green transformation. There have been more than 200 methanol ship orders worldwide.

According to the memorandum, all parties will actively implement the spirit of President Xi's important instructions on green and low-carbon development, actively fulfill corporate social responsibilities in promoting “dual carbon”, and make every effort to promote the implementation of the first batch of domestic green methanol production projects.
