On the morning of June 15, 2018, Jiangsu Zhejiang Shipyard started steel cutting of the first dual-fuel power (LNG/ fuel) ASD dual-purpose tugboat constructed for the port of Zhoushan in Ningbo.This is another "China first" project built by Jiangsu Zhejiang Shipyard after the first LNG single fuel ASD tugboat in Asia.
The ship is powered by a dual-fuel engine that converts diesel to natural gas (LNG), with a fuel replacement rate of up to 90 per cent.When running in a gas mode, it can reduce the emissions of 50 percent of the sulfur oxides (SOX), 98 percent of the particulate matter, 80 percent of the nitrogen oxides (NOX) and 22 percent of the carbon dioxide (CO2).In energy&emission reduction and other aspects fully embodies the development of low carbon, green, environmental protection concept, the ship is as representative ASD tugboat in our domestic port, reaching the international advanced level of similar products.
