China's auto exports soar 74 pct in Jan-July period CCTV 2023-09-04 10:38

The latest official data showed that China exported 27.78 million vehicles in the first seven months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 74 percent.

This sustained the trend of the country's robust expansion in auto export.

In recent years, China has made solid and fast advances in auto export, stepping across the threshold of two million in 2021 and that of three million in 2022, respectively.

According to a Ministry of Commerce official in charge of promoting vehicle exports, this year's goal of exporting more than four million cars is highly likely to be achieved and the hope of exporting 5 million units runs high.

The official added that the skyrocketing auto exports are attributed to the fast growing electric vehicle industry in China, as the country's homegrown NEVs have been shipped to 160-plus countries and regions worldwide.
