Huangpu Wenchong Receives Orders for 8 85,000 DWT Bulk Carriers Xinde Marine News Sarah Yu 2023-08-02 17:07

On August 1, 2023, CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding and China Shipbuilding Trading signed an order for eight 85,000 dwt bulk carriers with SEA TRADERS, a subsidiary of the Greek Shipping Tycoon George J. Procopiou.

This type of ship was developed and designed by Huangpu Wenchong, which can meet the requirements of EEDI PHASE III, and its load capacity has also been significantly improved compared with the traditional 82,000 dwt bulk carrier.
 
At present, Huangpu Wenchong has undertaken a total of 18 ships of this type and delivered 5 ships. After delivery, the ships have been widely praised in the market due to their excellent performance and economy.
