Hengli Heavy Industry Group

Hengli Heavy Industry Group(hereinafter referred to as Hengli) has got another order for four kamsarmax, after signing an order for four same carriers on May 12th.

The contract signed recently between Hengli shipbuilding(Dalian) Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Hengli, and a well-known Greek shipowner indicates that Hengli will continue to expand mainstream bulk carrier construction and has acquired recognition from international mainstream shipowners.

In July last year, following the guidance of state council to liquidize idle assets and expand effective investments, Hengli Group acquired STX and founded Hengli to build a world-class green shipping construction and high-end equipment manufacturing base. The industrial parks was officially put into use earlier this year with the capacity to deliver 40 ships per year, ranking at the forefront of the industry.

After a thorough field visit to Hengli industrial park, the two parties decided to sign the order. As the world’s largest shipping country, Greece plays a significant role in global shipping industry. This signing will further increase Hengli’s popularity among Greek shipowners as well.
