On April 14, "MOBY FANTASY", a 2500 passenger/3800 meter lane luxury ro-ro passenger ship built by CSSC Guangzhou Shipyard International for MOBY Line of Italy, sets sail at Longxue Island, Nansha, Guangzhou.
"MOBY FANTASY" has a total length of 237 meters, a width of 33 meters, a service speed of about 23.5 knots, and a gross tonnage of more than 70,000 dwt. It is the world's largest luxury ro-ro passenger ship.
The ro-ro passenger ship construction contract was signed in June 2019, and a total of two ships are planned to be built, which is a concrete practice of China and Italy actively implementing the "Belt and Road" initiative.
Guangzhou Shipyard International has been deeply involved in the construction of luxury ro-ro ships for more than 20 years, and is currently the shipbuilding enterprise that delivers the most orders for luxury ro-ro ships and handheld luxury ro-ro ships worldwide.
