OOIL Announces Operational Update for the 4th Quarter 2022 OOCL 2023-02-13 16:30

The Board of Directors of Orient Overseas (International) Limited has adopted a policy of announcing unaudited operational updates for Orient Overseas Container Line on a quarterly basis. This announcement sets out the unaudited operational update for OOCL for the fourth quarter ended 31st December 2022. The comparative figures for the fourth quarter ended 31st December 2021 are also disclosed in this announcement.

For the fourth quarter ended 31st December 2022, total revenues decreased by 34.8% to US Dollars 3,182.3 million, as compared to the same period in 2021. Total liftings and loadable capacity decreased by 5.6% and 2.6% respectively. The overall load factor was 2.7% lower than the same period in 2021. Overall average revenue per TEU decreased by 30.9% compared to the fourth quarter of last year.
 
For the year ended 31st December 2022, total revenues recorded growth of 19.1% and total liftings decreased by 6.0% over the same period last year. Loadable capacity decreased by 4.3%. The overall load factor was 1.5% lower than the same period in 2021. Average revenue per TEU increased by 26.7% compared to the same period last year.
