China: Cancelled the approval for shift change seafarer, no more centralized quarantine Xinde Marine News Vivian Xu 2023-01-09 10:41

The Ministry of Transport of China, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, the National Health Commission of China, the General Administration of Customs of China, the National Immigration Administration and the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention issued a notice that cancelled the approval for shift change, and removed nucleic acid testing and centralized quarantine of shift change for incoming seafarers from January 8.

Crew members of international voyage ships who intend to come to China and change shifts at Chinese ports should carry out a nucleic acid test 48 hours before the ship leaves the last overseas port, and those who test positive should be treated in a timely manner. The declaration of antigen results can be accepted for those seafarers who have nucleic acid test results 48 hours before they are confirmed to be unable to enter China.
