According to Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the "Shanghai Luojing Port Container Terminal reconstruction Phase I project" has been approved and will be started in the near future. At the end of September, SIPG announced that it will invest in the first phase of Shanghai Luojing Port Container Terminal reconstruction project. The total investment of the project will not exceed 5 billion yuan. The project will build two berths of 70,000 to 100,000 tons, with an annual designed capacity of 2.6 million TEUs.
 
Luojing Port for bulk cargo, general cargo transport services, after the adjustment will be based on container and general cargo transport, mainly to service domestic trade container transport. The Luojing Port will handle 4 million TEU containers by 2035.
