SPG receives national honors for smart, green development SPG 2022-12-12 09:48

The 2022 China Port Association Science and Technology Awards concluded in the coastal city of Qingdao, East China's Shandong province on Dec 7. The Shandong Port Group, the world's largest port conglomerate in terms of cargo capacity, received 32 awards, with the total number ranking among the most among the country's port operators.

In recent years, SPG has been committed to building itself into a world-class sea port operator, and made remarkable achievements in the construction of a smart and green port. It initiated the  "1+N" smart port top-level design, and has broken the world record of automatic terminal handling efficiency for the ninth time by using its self-developed new generation of a terminal intelligent control system.

Last year, an air-track intelligent transport system was unveiled at Qingdao Port, as its demonstration section went into operation. The system represents a significant step forward in China's construction of intelligent and environmentally friendly ports.

SPG will leverage its advantages in innovation-driven development and continue to make breakthroughs in smart and green port construction.
