On December 4, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry and COSCO Shipping Energy Transportation signed a joint development and cooperation agreement on Avramax tanker.
 
The two sides will jointly develop a ship type that meets the operation characteristics of COSCO Shipping Energy Transportation, meets the requirements of energy saving, high efficiency and environmental protection, and has market competitiveness.
 
COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry and COSCO Shipping Energy Transportation completed the joint development of VLCC in 2021.
