Yangzijiang announces 3Q2022 performance result Xinde Marine News 2022-11-14 17:01


On November 13, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding (Holdings) released the latest results announcement. The announcement stated that since the third quarter of 2022, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group continues to deliver greener vessels and showcases timely delivery, achieved historic breakthroughs in many ship types, and refreshed many new histories such as the record of hand-held orders.
 
As of November 13, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has successfully delivered 60 ships and is expected to complete its annual delivery target of 70 ships.
 
Among them, the project highlights since the third quarter include: the successful delivery of 6 11,800 TEU container ships built for the shipowner Seaspan, achieving a perfect ending.
 
At the same time, the first 7 15,000 TEU container ship series "ONE FREEDOM" built by Yangzijiang Shipbuilding for SEASPAN was also successfully delivered on October 12, 2022. This is the largest container ship built and delivered in the history of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding.
 
On October 29, 2022, the first two 24,000 TEU container ships built by Yangzijiang Shipbuilding for MSC were successfully undocked. This type of ship is also the largest container ship built by private shipping companies in China's shipbuilding industry.
 
In addition, the 9,150 dwt chemical tanker built by Yangzijiang Shipbuilding for French shipowner RUBIS was successfully delivered on October 17.
 
In terms of new orders, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has undertaken orders for new ships of US$4.19 billion this year, exceeding the target of US$2 billion in annual orders ahead of schedule.
 
As of the announcement date, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding had orders for 143 ships with a CGT of 9.68 million, with a contract value of US$10.33 billion, and the delivery time was scheduled to 2026. This has also created the highest record in the history of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding and China's private shipbuilding enterprises.
