On November 8, the Marine Department (MD) held the “Together We Set Sail” Award Presentation Ceremony, in which awards were presented to  shipping companies in recognition of their outstanding performance in the pursuit of high quality Hong Kong-registered ships over the past year. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, MD also presented awards to shipowners in appreciation of their long-standing  quality partnership with the Hong Kong Shipping Registry (HKSR), and "Happy 25" birthday cards to Hong Kong registered seafarers born in July 1997.
 
Ms. Carol Yuen, the Director of Marine, expressed her gratitude to the shipowners and shipping companies for their staunch support to HKSR over the years.
 
Representatives of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association also attended the ceremony to extend their congratulations to the awardees.
