Hong Kong and Oslo-listed Jinhui Shipping and Transportation has sold 18-year-old supramax Jin Yao to Hong Kong incorporated Xinfeng Shipping for US$13.3m, realising a loss for the company of US$0.6m.

The Japanese-built 52,100 dwt ship is scheduled for delivery between November 25 and December 19 this year.

The sale follows swiftly Jinhui’s sale of two 12-year-old post-panamax bulk carriers for a total US$34.5m earlier this month.
