CMES: LNG will become an important business pillar Xinde Marine News Sarah Yu 2022-09-28 16:40

On September 27, China Merchants Energy Shipping said at the performance briefing that under the dual carbon background, natural gas, as a substitute for oil and coal, will usher in a critical period of development, and the demand for LNG transportation will increase significantly.

At present, more than 80% of LNG shipping exists in the form of long-term projects. The increase of natural gas supply, diversification of demand, and flexibility of trade contracts will inevitably lead to the increase of LNG spot market demand.

In the company's strategy, LNG business has been taken as an important strategic development direction and is intended to be developed as an important business pillar.
