Recently, the China Classification Society (CCS) Zhejiang Branch issued its first Statement of Compliance with Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index (EEXI) to M.V. REN DA, a vessel managed by COSCO SHIPPING Bulk Shenzhen Ocean Shipping Company.
The amendment to MARPOL Convention Annex VI (MEPC.328(76)) will formally go into effect on January 1, 2023, which imposes limits on the EEXI in international voyages.
After nearly 10 months of thorough preparation, Shenzhen Ocean Shipping successfully obtained the EEXI Statement of Compliance for M.V. REN DA. CCS Zhejiang Branch held the issuance ceremony on the ship.
