China Merchants Energy Shipping's 26 very large ore carriers (VLOCs) took the lead in obtaining SEEMP-III approval from China Classification Society.

On August 26, 2022, China Classification Society (CCS) issued certificates of compliance for 26 VLOCs to Hong Kong Ming Wah.

As a professional shipping company engaged in dry bulk shipping under CMES, HKMW also became the first shipping company to be awarded CCS SEEMP-III.

Since 2020, CMES and CCS have carried out more than 20 times of cooperation on EEXI, CII, SEEMP-III, alternative energy vessel types, carbon tax and dual carbon policy, and achieved outstanding results.
